Naipes Victoria Spanish-suited, gaucho-themed pack, 48 cards + 2 jokers + 2 extra cards, manufactured by Compañia General de Fósforos Montevideana, S.A., Avenida Gral. San Martin 2778, Montevideo, c.1975. The design of the cards, including the suit symbols and the jokers, celebrates the stoic culture and traditions of the gauchos who epitomise freedom of spirit and are a national icon.

An inscription on the box reads: En el preciso momento que las presentes generaciones están formando conciencia de sus tradiciones, el naipe “Victoria” llenará un íntimo anhelo al contar con un juego de cartas que por sus figuras gauchas les serán familiares, recordándoles un pasado que debe ser inspiración al proyectarse en el futuro.

Que en la inquebrantable determinación de superarse de estas generaciones, aliente el espíritu indomable y estoíco de aquellos gauchos que les legaron el insuperable patrimonio de sus libertades ganadas con sacrificio, amor y patriotísmo.

La edición de estos naipes sea un homenaje a estas generaciones y aquellos gauchos.
