García y Boyer
Spanish-suited pack in the ‘Raimundo García’ pattern produced by García y Boyer, Igualada, c.1880.
Spanish-suited pack by García y Boyer, Igualada, c.1880. The ace of coins has a lion with a globe and "Fabrica de Ygualada"; the four of cups has a vignette introducing the same lion with "De una hoja" and "F_ca de Garcia y Boyer, Ygualada". The design appears to be the Raimundo García pattern which had originated from a Madrid cardmaker of that name earlier in the century.
The Raimundo García pattern is described in Denning (1996) p.60. • See also: García Pattern►
