Hulk playing cards

Published November 17, 2022 Updated November 18, 2022

Issued to coincide with the release in 2003 of the American superhero film, The Hulk.

2003 USA United States Playing Card Co. Marvel Advertising Comic Books Movies & Film Sci-Fi Superheroes

There is no sign of the Marvel character’s human origins in this pack, merely of his transformed state due to a “freak lab accident”. Thus, the colour green predominates! There is a certain amount of repetition in the designs – six different images on the court cards (rather than 12), the same nine images used for the numeral cards in each suit, but four different Aces and two different Jokers. It is curious how closely the surname of the principal actor in the film, Eric Bana, resembles that of the character he played, Bruce Banner, alias the Hulk! See the box
