Portraits, signatures and brief biographies of the 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence.

The Declaration of Independence was signed by 56 of America’s Founding Fathers and ratified on July 4, 1776. All 56 men are featured in this pack, including four ‘Patriots’ in place of the Jokers. The format is uniform throughout – (from top to bottom) an oval portrait, dates, a brief biography, a signature and their name and the State from which they came. All the designs are set against a yellow background. On the reverse is the Syng Inkstand which was used at the signings of the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution. There is an interesting comment on the back of the box about removing the “hated stamp”, i.e., the GIII tax seal. See the box

He lives near Toulouse in France.
