Star Trek® – The Original Series
Promotional pack for CIC Video with characters and starships from the original series of Star Trek.
Fans of Star Trek (aka “Trekkies”) will know that this pack is hard to find. It formed part of a promotion in 1996 where playing cards were included with specially marked Star Trek videos. If you bought all of the videos, you would be able to assemble a complete pack. The video distribution company was Cinema International Corporation (CIC).
The cards show a starship on each of the aces and characters from Star Trek (The Original Series) on the court cards, all listed on the extra card. The pips have been modified to resemble starships. The Jokers are a Tribble and an animal from Alpha 177. See the box

Above: Star Trek® – The Original Series promo deck made by Carta Mundi, Turnhout, Belgium, 1996, for CIC Video. 52 cards + 2 Jokers + 1 extra card in tuck box. Size: 56 x 87 mm.
As stated on the side of the box, this pack was a limited edition, only available through CIC Video for promotional use and not for resale.
