Susan Wise’s illustrations for this 1990s version of Old Maid are great artworks in themselves – colourful, detailed, amusing and acutely observed. All the pairs of oversize cards of course show female figures, each one named at the foot. The Old Bachelor is losing his hair and has a heart-shaped picture of ‘Mom’ on his dressing table. Rules for play are included. See the box
