Mexican Artdeck

Works by 14 different 20th century Mexican artists.

1993 Mexico USA Aristoplay Cartamundi Art Gallery Collaborative

From a European perspective, Mexican art remains something of a closed book, apart from the work of Frida Kahlo (1907-1954) and Diego Rivera (1886-1957). This pack was – in part – intended to change that view, including, as it does, works by another 12 talented Mexican artists of the 20th century. Each card value covers the work of one artist, thus four different paintings by 13 different artists. In addition, the Joker is a work called “The Revolutionary Horseman” by Jose Guadalupe Posada (1852-1913). All of the images are in vertical format, with the title of the work and the name of the artist beneath. See the box
