Impressionist Art Cards

Published February 24, 2024 Updated February 24, 2024

Details of 13 paintings by 8 different Impressionist artists on elongated cards.

2002 USA Birdcage Books Art Gallery Collaborative

To arrive at a vertical format for the Impressionist paintings on these elongated cards, all have been cropped to a greater or lesser extent. The eight artists whose work is represented are Caillebotte, Cassatt, Degas, Manet, Monet, Morisot, Pissarro and Renoir. Each of the 13 paintings is repeated on the same card in each suit. Below each are the title (in English) and the name of the artist. Three tubes of paint can be found on the Jokers. The back designs feature two details from Water Lilies paintings by Monet, each within a gold picture frame. The accompanying leaflet has further details about each work (date, current location, etc.), also showing what they look like full-size. See the box

The Joker is probably the most fun part of this pack - maybe one with which the Joker collectors are less familiar.
