Disney’s Aladdin playing cards
Characters from the 1992 Disney film Aladdin.
Aladdin, the 1992 Disney film, was a huge commercial success, that success often being attributed to the (vocal) performance of Robin Williams as the genie. In this pack, the same image of the genie appears on each ace, while the court cards show Aladdin (K), Princess Jasmine (Q), and Aladdin’s pet monkey, Abu (J), in four different poses each. Jafar, a sorcerer and royal vizier, can be found on the Jokers. There is faint blue decoration in the background of every card.

As I recall, this set never appeared in a Waddingtons sales catalogue. Being a licensed product, it was only ever sold through Disney outlets such as The Disney Store. The label on the bottom of the box would suggest that it was made for sale in the UK, France and Germany.
