Tarot for Baby
This board book simplifies tarot archetypes into accessible affirmations for young children.
This well-produced board book, featuring colourful artwork by Kelly Anne Dalton and accompanying text by Abigail Samoun, is designed as a commercial product appealing to the values and interests of middle to upper-middle-class parents, especially those inclined towards culturally diverse ideologies. It serves as a tool for parents to introduce concepts of positive thinking, magic and mystery, as well as values of individual empowerment, personal growth and a belief in one’s inherent capabilities.
The book presents the 22 major tarot archetypes in a simplified spiritual and philosophical format. While the child-oriented, upbeat affirmations are designed to resonate with parents' values, and integrate into the child's environment, they may not be meaningful to the child.
