Campari playing cards
Publicity pack for Campari, designed for the Portuguese or Brazilian market.
Apart from the advertisement for Campari on the back and the recipe for Italian Mojito on the extra card, this pack is printed in just three colours – red, black and ochre. The courts are the same in each suit, printed in black on the black suits and red on the red suits. The Ks are based on an Anglo-American King of Hearts, the Qs on a Queen of Clubs and the Js on a Jack of Hearts. They even retain hearts and clubs on their clothing in every suit. A starburst effect has been used to decorate the Aces. The wording ‘Campari red passion’ appears on every card to drive home the advertising message. The extra/recipe card has a back design which is different from the rest of the pack. Based on the text on the box and that used for the recipe on the extra card, this pack was intended to promote Campari in the Portuguese and/or Brazilian market.

Note: Campari is an Italian alcoholic liqueur known for its vibrant red colour and bitter flavour. It is made from a blend of herbs and fruits, and often used as an ingredient in cocktails.
