Industrial Bank of Japan
Advertising pack designed by Yukio Hohri for The Industrial Bank of Japan.
The development of a different means of transport is depicted in each suit of this pack – cars (S), trains (H), boats (C), planes (D) – in date order running from Ace (earliest) to King. Except for one of the Jokers, all the designs are in horizontal format. The attractive back design shows an old map of Japan, a pipe, an open book, a lamp, etc., with the name of the bank at the foot. The cards are elongated and have a linen finish. The designer was Yukio Hohri. This was an edition of 6,000 packs.
