Spielkarten für Sammler
Cards on cards in celebration of playing-card collector Franz Braun’s 75th birthday.
Franz Braun (1923-2016) was a German playing-card collector, editor and publisher of numerous books and catalogues about the history of playing cards, and an amateur magician. To celebrate his 75th birthday, he chose many of his favourite playing cards to adorn this pack, in each case finding a card corresponding to the actual card value of his finished pack. He wanted to show how diverse playing cards can be in their design and shape. Each one is identified in German. Franz Braun’s portrait - in black on cream - forms the back design. Edition of 500 packs.
