Advertising pack for a travel company with humorous illustrations of all sorts of travellers.

1993 Germany Altenburger Spielkartenfabrik Manfred Bofinger Advertising Humour Skat

Manfred Bofinger (1941-2006) was a German artist, caricaturist and cartoonist. On the double-ended court cards in this pack he pokes fun at all kinds of travellers. In addition, there are amusing vignettes in colour on all the pip cards. The name of the travel company in Neustrelitz for whom the pack was made - Strelitz Reisen - appears on the back in green and red. Print run of 10,000 packs. See the box

He lives near Toulouse in France.
