Le Jeu de Marseille (Vigno)
Amusing depiction of characters whom you might meet in the city and port of Marseille, as created by Anne Le Dantec.

Marseille, France’s oldest city, has the reputation of being both rough and friendly. These two aspects are admirably captured by Anne Le Dantec in her designs for the court cards and Joker(s) in this pack. These are just the kind of characters you might meet on a stroll through the city, in a bar or down by the port. Pastis, fish, smoking and card playing are much in evidence. The indices are in French. The back design is made up of the prow of a boat, some colourful houses (or beach huts?), and the silhouette of Notre-Dame de la Garde. See the box►
