Jeu des 7 Familles Spider-Man
Colourful card game featuring the Marvel Comics superhero Spider-Man and some of his fearsome adversaries.
Spider-Man made his first appearance in an American comic book in 1962. Created by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist Steve Ditko, Spider-Man has been featured in comic books, television shows, films, video games, novels, plays, and of course playing cards and card games. This version of the 7 Familles game has the usual 7 sets of 6 cards. The sets have titles in French – Menace de la Toile, Le Mur, La Nuit, Spider-Man, Menace d’Araignée, La Ville, and La Toile. The character Spider-Man is seen in action on each of the borderless cards. The back design is a pattern of black spiders against a red background. Game rules are printed on the back of the box. He is a Past President of the Scottish Philatelic Society, a former Chairman of the IPCS, a Past Master of the Worshipful Company of Makers of Playing Cards and Curator of the WCMPC’s collection of playing cards. He lives near Toulouse in France.
