Atout Cœur!

Published May 28, 2024 Updated May 28, 2024

Poster designs by children for an anti-smoking campaign in the Midi-Pyrenées region of France.

Messages conveyed through artwork designed by children often carry more weight than those created by adults: they can be hard-hitting and to the point. This pack contains 52 different poster designs by children for a heart disease prevention campaign organised by the Association Régionale de Cardiologie Midi-Pyrénées. Many of the images are very graphic and direct: essentially the message is “stop smoking – see what smoking does to your heart and lungs”. The majority of the designs are in vertical format. “Atout Coeur” is a clever title. It can mean “the heart is an asset” or “hearts are trumps”. It can also be read as “à tout coeur” which means “wholeheartedly”.
