Velux International
Publicity pack for the Danish company, Velux, manufacturers of roof windows and skylights.
Velux has become a household name for a roof window or skylight. The Danish company was founded in 1941 and began its international expansion in 1952. Its products are known worldwide, which accounts for the wording on all the Aces where ‘roof windows’ appears in 20 different languages. On all the remaining cards there are colour photographs of different types of roof window or skylight (double-ended on the court cards, single-ended on the 10s to 2s). The designs are repeated on the same card in each suit. The red and white back design features the word ‘VELUX’ repeated sixteen times. See the box►
